10/20/11-Chicken Dissection Lab

Today we watched a demonstration of the a dissection of a chicken wing. We had to identify the different forms of tissue in the chicken wing: muscle, epithelial (skin), connective (bones, ligaments, cartilage), and although we didn't see it, we talked about nerve tissue. We also identified the marrow, fat, and their purpose. Based on this lab, the conclusion can be made that the structure of a chicken wing is similar to the structure of a human arm.
